North Coates (sometimes called North Cotes) is a village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated close to the coast, to the east, and north-east from the town of Louth. The Grade II * listed church is dedicated to Saint Nicholas and is built of limestone, dating from the 13th century, although mostly rebuilt in 1865 by James Fowler of Louth. The upper part of the font is 12th-century and the lower part 19th-century. There is a medieval scheduled standing cross with square base in St Nicholas churchyard, believed to be in its original position. Ivy Cottage, in the village, is a Grade II * listed building dating from the early 18th century which is unaltered and in its original condition. == RAF North Coates == (詳細はBloodhound surface-to-air missile site. It was closed in 1990. In 1992 Healey and Baker for the MOD sold the entire site including 77 former NCO married quarters to one of Roger Byron-Collins companies with the Hodge Group. Following upgrading the housing was sold and the technical sold was sold by auction. The majority of the former airfield was sold to local farmer George Henry Parker. Several years later the metaled runway was removed and sections retained for civilian airfield. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「North Coates」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
